Opaque Filters
As mentioned earlier,
the opaque filters are designed to screen out most of the visible light
spectrum and look black to the "visible eye." To use them, you'll need
a tripod and will have to focus and compose your picture before you
put the filter on the lens. The #18A filter produced a subtle color
image with low contrast and required a six-stop correction [check this
against the chart] in exposure. The color images produced by the # 18A
in this sequence are more satisfactory than the black and white, but
every subject and exposure produce new and fascinating results.
